Plan your new year goals by doing an annual review of 2019. The easiest way to look to the future is to review our past. Our offices tend to be slower during this time of year due to holiday travel and visits with family and friends. I encourage you to use the slower days at this time of year to reflect on 2019 successes, and to plan your focus for the new year. You may note, I added a new question to my year-end review this year. After going through these questions for me and my business, I thought I need to plan for the big goal for 2020. What is the one thing I should work on to change my business, work or life? So, I added this as a fourth question this year.
The fourth question really does help you plan your new year goals. Over the past few years, it has been common for people to select their one word to motivate and inspire them for the year. This year my word is GROWTH. I believe this will help me with clarity and focus and 2020.
Do a Review of 2019 by Answering:
1. What were my successes this year?
2. What challenges and opportunities did I face this year?
3. What did I learn from my successes and my challenges?
4. What is the big goal I want to work toward in 2020?
Answering these simple questions will help you strategically set goals and plan for 2020. You can also use the slower days at the end of the year to wrap up unfinished tasks, clear out your digital and paper files, and clean up your email. All of these actions will help you be more productive in 2020. My goal for you is to start the year off focused, organized and productive.
I am excited to kick-off 2020! We have some big news coming soon regarding training. I am not quite ready to give you all of the details yet, but big announcements should be coming in January. As we close out 2019 and move into 2020, I want to personally wish you a Happy New Year. May 2020 be your best year ever!
All my best,
Sara
